(light upbeat music) I was originally born and raised in the islands called Trinidad and Tobago. Left there at the age of 11, with my mom. We moved to New York
City, which I lived there for 15 years of my life. I came down to Louisiana and I lived there for 10 years and I
worked for the oil field for eight of those years. And hated every minute of it. Back in 2015, in August, I got laid off. So that was my way out. April-ish started job seeking, and in the midst of doing that, I got a few different calls
from insurance companies. I started the interview
process in insurance companies. I got called in by Liberty National, and two years now, here
I am, an agency owner. My friends and family,
they all supported me. They know my abilities. So they were 100% behind me. I guess it was just something different, but at the same time they trusted me. We put all our trust in
God, but at the same time they know my abilities, and they know that wherever I start, I’m gonna find a way to make my way up. So that wasn’t a concern with them. But in terms of seeing the fast growth within the two years I’ve been here, that has definitely been a blessing, and them seeing that happen.
