I am a trade credit insurance broker. I deal
with a major global client who transact business all over the world. My main
job is looking after large global clients, and my main duties are ringing
insurers, emailing insurers as well as the clients, making sure they’re
happy with the policy. I suppose for me the worst part would be managing
to do other things outside of work. My job involves a lot of
responsibility, and sometimes you have to miss out on maybe a sporting activity
you’ve got planned in the evening, or you maybe won’t be able to see
your friends in the evening, because you know you’ve got something that
has to be done. So the best thing for me about my role is
data crunching. I love to get the data, and I love to make it easy to read.
Also, I get a kick out of the big figures. You know, we talk about credit lines
that could be $200 million, and that kind of sense of responsibility and
pressure almost gives me a sense of satisfaction. I enjoy it.
