I think the biggest misconception that people have in the insurance industry is that they think that insurance is ran by a suit in Toronto. People may think that I am going to pay this premium but they are going to find a reason not to pay my claim. And that just isn’t the case. We look for ways to find coverage wherever it’s possible. The industry is people who are from your community, working hard to get you back together. Albertans working to serve other Albertans. We exist to provide the financial means to make people whole again and to be able to help people at their worst point. Sometimes those losses can be devastating. It is the premiums of everyone to cover the losses of few. There is a big financial component to what we do. And it is backed by the insurance industry. The better off that they are, the better off the public is that needs them. If you think of Fort McMurray, you know, we just saw a city need the insurance industry and need the funds from there, and it was there. Trust is earned. That’s our commitment in this industry. I think everyone that goes to work every day has that in mind. They want to earn the trust of their customers. I believe in the insurance industry because I see every single day how we help people. We’re not just another bill in the mail. If something happens, they’re covered, and we’re there for them.
