Hello, I’m Tom. If you’re considering buying one of our travel insurance policies, we will ask you if you have any pre-existing medical conditions before we can cover you. We’ll either be able to provide cover for
all or none of your pre-existing conditions. For this reason it’s very important
that we’re told of all conditions for everyone on the policy. I’m here to clarify what we mean by pre-existing medical conditions. We define the following as pre-existing medical conditions: If you have had or have a heart condition. A breathing condition, such as asthma. If you have a circulatory condition such as
strokes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes. A gastrointestinal or digestive tract problem. If you have a bone or joint condition such
as arthritis. And any form or type of cancer. We also need to be made aware of any of the following procedures if you’ve had them or it’s been recommended you have them in the past 12 months. Please let us know if you have had any medical investigation or tests for any conditions or symptoms that relate to a diagnosed condition. If you’re waiting for test results for an as-yet-undiagnosed condition, unfortunately we won’t be able to provide you with cover or if you have had any treatment or surgery for any condition or symptoms that relate to a diagnosed condition. Lastly, you’ll also need to let us know
if you are taking or have been taking any prescribed medication for any condition or symptoms that relate to a diagnosed condition in the past 12 months. If you need any more help or clarification
though, don’t hesitate to give us a call or visit our website, LV.com, for more help.
