My name is Dilla Joseph. I am 53 years old. I live in Miami, Florida. I have a 23-year-old daughter. Her name is Delicia Joseph. I have a one-year old puppy. Her name is Janessa, and they all live with me. In my spare time, I really enjoy cooking. I love decorating. My name is Eduardo Garcia-Ona, but my friends call me Eddy. I’ve been with Bankers Life as an agent for about 5 years now. It was a very funny story how we met. He called me and said, “Umm can I come and see you.” I said, “Are you Eddie whatever this other person’s name was?” She was not expecting me. She was expecting a different Eddy. “I don’t have an appointment with you.” He said to me, “Well, still, can I come and then if I’m not good enough, then you will tell me go away.” I said, “And I sure will, but I’ll give you that chance, so you can come on.” And that was the best thing ever. If I’m meeting somebody in their 50’s, they’re not really in the mentality of retirement yet. I would still continue doing what I love best to create everything that I’m creating now with my hot sauces, my bridal bouquet, and everything that I love to make. I don’t believe Dilla was thinking about retirement at the time. I explained to her what was available to her with the Universal Life insurance product. She was a little more open to the idea that she might have to start planning early for retirement. I asked her “What is the need for life insurance. What do you want it for?” So, the main concern she had was making sure Delicia, her daughter, was taken care of. I chose the Universal Life insurance. It’s a permanent life insurance policy. One of the benefits that it has is the fact that it accumulates a cash value that can be accessed in time of need or even down the road to supplement your income. It allows the client to be more flexible and give them more control. Leaving a financial legacy for my daughter is a big deal for me. Dilla is not going have to worry about Delicia having to pay any taxes, any probate proceeds. My daughter will get every penny. Eddy did recommend the Accelerated Benefit Rider. It allows you to have a life insurance, which gives you a death benefit when you pass away, but also allows you to have a living benefit when you’re still alive. It’s not a use it or lose it. In case I have any major problems like cancer or heart problems. The Accelerated Benefit Rider gives me that peace of mind. The Accelerate Benefit Rider pays the money directly to the insured Not to the providers, not to the doctors. However, it is not a replacement for long-term care insurance. The relationship I have with him is more than a Bankers Life, you know…agent. This is the first time, actually any insurance agent came to my home and took the time to actually sit down and explain everything to me. What we do is very human. We have to be very human with our clients The trust that we build, you do not do that through a computer. You do not do that over the Internet. It has to be in a personal level face to face. That’s what I believe separates Bankers Life from all the other insurance companies out there. Brought me actually, more security, more peace of mind. That sounded like a perfect fit for me.
