You’ve been injured at work, and you’ve been
sent to a doctor who you don’t know. Do you want to know why, and how to deal with that?
Join me as I provide you the answer to that important question. Hi. I’m Sam Gaylord, a
disability litigator specializing in the areas of workers’ compensation, social security
disability, and disability pension appeals here in the state of New Jersey. The law specifically
says when you get hurt at work that you must go see the doctor the insurance company sends
you to see. Sometimes they’ll send you to an occupational health, sometimes you get
sent to a specialist. You may not like those doctors, so you have the opportunity to make
a request for a second opinion. The insurance company doesn’t necessarily have to send you
for a second opinion, so therefore, you would have to attempt to get that medical treatment
on your own. Your attorney would then file a specific motion and then work with workers’
compensation to get that treatment authorized. As a result of this, you may have some additional
questions concerning this information. If you do, I encourage you to pick up the phone.
